In the anime The God of High School the main protagonist is Jin Mo-Ri, a 17-year-old martial artist from Seoul, South Korea. At the beginning of the story, he was invited to join a Martial Arts tournament called “The God of High School” (or GOH). The event, sponsored by a shady company, brought together people from high schools throughout South Korea at the regional level and then at the national level to select three representatives for the World Tournament. As a prize, the winner gets his wish fulfilled by the hosting company, without question.
This aroused Mo-Ri’s interest, and as he continued the tournament, he met many competitors each with different fighting methods. In addition to martial arts, participants fight using “Borrowing Power”, the mystical energy provided by supernatural entities, hence the name Borrowing Power. During the opening round, he discovered two other martial arts wonders: Complete Contact Expert Han Dae-Wi and epeeist master Yu Mi-Ra. The two will be friends with Jin Mo-Ri after their fight with him, and will become a team together as the Korean Team after the preliminary round. When the initial round of the tournament ends, and the team gets together, plans for many different people in the organization, and those who are pitted against them begin to make movements to achieve their goals.

It is inhabited by various mythical beings, spirits, and monsters (collectively known as demons) such as the Dragon, Minotaur, Phoenix Heavenly Realm is the last and most powerful realm. The Heavenly Realm is home to many powerful gods from various mythologies and legends such as the Jade Emperor, Michael the Archangel, Hercules At dawn, humans, demons and gods live together on Earth. The gods allowed weak humans to borrow their power, creating a “Borrowing Power” system so that they could defend themselves against demons who wanted to rule over them. Shortly after the devil was defeated, the gods divided humans, demons and gods among the three Realms. Humans have since been able to use the Borrowing Power freely but are not permitted to attack the gods with it.
